Our Story
Since 1998, Chef and Owner Michael Latour has brought classical French technique to the heart of Ridgewood — earning a three-star review from The New York Timesin the restaurant's earliest days and a reputation as one of New Jersey's longest-running fine dining destinations.
A graduate of Johnson & Wales University, Michael trained in the kitchens of the Ritz-Carlton New York and was part of the opening team at the Four Seasons Hotel New York before opening his own restaurant. Half French, half Italian, he brings both heritages — and vegetables from his own garden in Ramsey — to every plate.

Twenty classical French sauces — Bordelaise, Grand Marnier, and more — simmer in our kitchen at any given time. Each takes days to prepare, because the sauce is the soul of French cooking.

Our bread is baked fresh on premises daily, and many of our vegetables come straight from Chef Latour's own garden in Ramsey.
